Big porcelain vase - Garlands of roses and ears. Unpolished gold on handle and edges. Decor representative "Le Printemps" from Boucher (1755)  in the medallion.

Large vase NAPOLEON.

Royal eagle and laurels on the lid. On the cartel : through the St Bernard col 2 winged chimaeras, 2 vases, ears of corn and graphes.
2 Médallions : portraits of Napoleon and Marie-Louise flat gold edge Empire Style.

Inlaid gold set
Setting : violets of Parme from Napoleon III's wife, Eugénie (1853).
The inlaid work is a decorative process to attacki enamel with an acid.
Using gold brings then a contrast between flat and bright colours of the inlaid part.
